This is a yearly lifespan timer. With single reset button, helps you to count one year lifetime of filter, cartridge, UV lamp or any lifetime concern device. When you install a new filter, which has one year lifetime, you may press the reset button to start one year countdown. After the preset time expired, the whole LCD display will be blinking to tell user the lifetime of device is expired. Replace a new filter or cartridge is necessary. If the blinking of LCD is not enough to warning, then a power saving aural endless alert can be added optionally. Furthermore, after countdown to zero, the timer counts up right away. This is designed in purpose to provide the information of passed time after lifetime expired. When the preset time expired, full LCD screen blinking until button depressed. To save battery power choose full LCD blinking only. Or choose audible endless alert plus full LCD screen blinking to emphasize the warning. 2.
